Monday, 19 August 2019

China had an easy 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka in their opening game at the 20th Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship in Seoul on Sunday.

Despite sending a young squad under national team assistant coach Bao Zhuang, the 13-time champions were still too good for Sri Lanka, as captain Liu Yanhan spearheaded China to straight sets victory 25-11, 25-9, 25-12.

China will face Indonesia in their second and last Pool D game on Monday, with a great chance to advance into the quarterfinals as group leaders.
