For the first time in the history of Sri Lanka’s Budget, a large number of people and institutions have contributed in compiling the 2022 budget.
Under the guidance of Fimance Minister Basil Rajapaksa, and with the direct intervention of the Ministry of Finance, a large number of institutions, organizations and individuals have suggested ideas and comments to prepare the budget.
A group of about 102, including Senior Ministers, Members of Parliament and Secretaries to Ministries Officials, leaders of various political parties, District Political Authority, various Professional associations, trade organizations, importers, youth organizations, Trade, vegetables and fruits, food, fish, water, technology, livestock, gems sectors have participated to prepare the Budget 2022.
