According to the exchange rates announced by CBSL (Central Bank) USD has depreciated against the LKR. This has temporarily reversed the appreciating trend of USD that was seen within the last couple of days.
Today (16 June), buying rate of rupees is 300.51 per 1 USD and the selling rate is 319.66 per 1 USD. Which is a noticeable drop from 311.60 (buying rate) and 328.92 (selling rate) recorded yesterday. These fluctuating exchange rates indicates a slight instability in the exchange rate market.
