The University Grants Commission Institutional Review is a holistic assessment that examines the quality of core activities within universities.
This includes governance and management, staff capacity and quality, curriculum design and development, learning and teaching processes, learning resources, student support and progression, student evaluation and awards, postgraduate studies, research, innovation and the assessment is based on the ten criteria of Commercialization, Distance Education, Community Engagement, Counselling and Access and Quality Assurance.
