A 25-year-old man riding a 1000 cc motorbike was injured after his motorcycle collided with a bus in Akurana.
Police said the motorcycle had registered number plates but said they were investigating whether they are authentic.
The 1000 cc motorcycles can be registered but could only be used for racing events. They are not allowed to be use for common travel in roads.
