Families from Bandaranayake Mawatha moved to quarantine centers

Over 1000 persons from Colombo -12 were transferred to Military- run quarantine centers today. The Ministry of Health said 1010 persons belonging to 242 families were transferred from Bandaranayake Mawatha in Colombo -12 to the quarantine centers.

Meanwhile, 5 more patients infected with COVID-19 were detected from Bandaranayake Mawatha in Colombo -12 today.

The Ministry of Health said this raises the number of patients infected with the coronavirus in Sri Lanka to 309.

Earlier yesterday, 32 persons from Bandaranayake Mawatha in Colombo -12 were identified to have been infected with COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health said 98 patients, including 97 Sri Lankans and one Chinese woman, have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospital. Seven deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far in Sri Lanka.
