Sirisena-Rajapaksa talks mooted to end SLFP crisis

Two rival factions of SLFP are attempting to organise powvow between President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to bring an end to the crisis brewing in the party. The two factions have had several rounds of talks and also met party seniors to discuss the proposed meeting between Rajapaksa and Sirisena. A foreign power has urged former President Rajapaksa to join the talks aimed at uniting the SLFP.
