he Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has been urged to accept Ministerial posts and make the Joint Opposition (JO) the main opposition in Parliament. Minister of Integration, Reconciliation and Official Languages Mano Ganesan told reporters today that if the TNA led by opposition leader R. Sampanthan joins the Government, they will be able to do a lot for the Tamils in the North and East.

Ganesan said that most issues related to the North can be resolved if the TNA is part of the Government.

The TNA has so far said it will not join the Government but will work with the Government to address the issues faced by the Tamils in the North and East.
