Following the Asian Games, the "Little Magician", Srinath "Soori" Sooriyabandara, stepped down as captain to make way for the next generation of leaders.
Sri Lanka Rugby is proud to announce Janindu Dilshan as Captain and Diluksha Dange as Vice Captain of the Sri Lanka National Sevens Team.
Janindu Dilshan - The former Royal College player first represented Sri Lanka Sevens in 2019 and captained CH & FC during the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
Diluksha Dange - The former Trinity College player first represented Sri Lanka Sevens in 2022 and now takes on a new responsibility in leading his country.
As we thank Soori for his leadership, we congratulate Janindu and Diluksha and wish them every success in taking Sri Lanka Rugby forward.
