Cloudy skies will prevail over the most parts of the island, stated the Meteorology Department.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere particularly during the evening or night.
Showers may occur in Mannar and Jaffna districts during the morning too.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
