The Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association welcomes the appointment of Ambassador AruniWijewardane, a member of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. SLFSA is delighted to congratulate Ambassador Wijewardane on her new leadership role, which represents great responsibility, especially at this challenging time.
Ambassador Wijewardane brings to the position years of experience, both as a Sri Lanka Foreign Service officer and a diplomat serving her country at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and overseas as well as an international civil servant at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“We are confident that Ambassador Wijewardane’s understanding of international affairs and skills will inject new dynamism to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and contribute to advancing Sri Lanka’s national interests.
