HNB partners CFA Society to drive growth in financial services industry

Continuing its sustenance to the financial industry with enhanced support for professionals, Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank HNB PLC, joined the local arm of the global not-for-profit organization CFA Society Sri Lanka (CFA SSL) as its official banking partner. 

The collaboration aims to strengthen the financial industry in Sri Lanka and provide greater assistance to professionals in their respective fields. HNB Executive Director/ Chief Operating Officer, Dilshan Rodrigo, HNB DGM – SME and Micro Finance, Rajive Dissanayake, HNB AGM- Network Management and Business Development, Supun Dias and CFA Society Sri Lanka President, Aruna Perera, Vice President, Rashmi Peiris Paranavitane, CEO, Aruna Alwis were present at a ceremony held to celebrate this alliance.

An exclusive Co-branded credit card has been bestowed upon CFA SSL members, anchored with a range of exclusive discounts, offers and promotions. Furthermore, members of CFA Candidate Council Sri Lanka have also been provided with a Visa Signature credit card with a pre-approved limit of 500,000 LKR, enabling them to make CFA registration and exam fee payments conveniently while enjoying the world of benefits that are being offered for the HNB Visa Signature Credit Card holders. In addition, HNB will be giving the members the access to a wider range of repayment plans and benefits for retail banking facilities.

Moreover, CFA SSL will leverage its expertise in developing and supporting charter holders to organize collaborative initiatives such as educational programs, networking events, and knowledge-sharing sessions for HNB employees. In doing this, the partnership aims to strengthen and build a vibrant and dynamic investment community.

Founded in 2001, CFA Society Sri Lanka is a not-for-profit organization supporting the professional development and advancement of CFA charter holders and candidates. It consists of a membership count over 275 including CEOs, CFOs, portfolio managers, equity analysts, banking professionals, investment advisors, and other senior-ranking financial practitioners and over 300 candidates, mainly in the financial sector.

With 254 customer centres and 800+ Self Service machines (SSMs) nationwide, HNB is one of Sri Lanka’s largest, most technologically innovative private banks.
