Global digital technology solutions company Fortude announced its collaborations with universities in Colombo, Pune and London, with a focus on enhancing talent and empowering undergraduates with industry insights. In Sri Lanka, in addition to working closely with multiple state and private universities, Fortude recently signed MOUs with the University of Kelaniya and Curtin Colombo, to develop undergraduates’ technical and soft skills, and get them industry-ready.
“We’re committed to building the next generation of tech talent. That’s why we’re working hand-in-hand with universities in Sri Lanka, India, Australia and the UK. By providing students with hands-on experience and industry insights, we’re not just honing their skills, we are creating a skilled workforce that is well-equipped to move from education into the tech industry seamlessly,” stated Arjuna Sirinanda, Managing Director of Fortude.
Further, looking to bolster its talent pipeline in Europe, Fortude’s team based in the UK has commenced activities with the University of West London and recently conducted an informative session at its London campus, creating awareness about the diverse career opportunities in ERP and Fortude’s role and impact within the global digital solutions space.
Outreach in India included visits to the Indira Institute of Commerce and Science and the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, both based in Pune. Fortude representatives enlightened the undergraduates about the world of ERP and the life of a Fortude consultant. With an attendance of over 150 students at each location, the enthusiasm, passion, and focus of the future potential talent were encouraging to witness.
To ensure a steady stream of young talent into the organization, Fortude has kicked off its annual Graduate Trainee program, which is currently open for applications from graduates looking to fast-track their careers in IT. Further, in a first for Fortude, it’s gearing to launch a female-only specialized internship program in August, to create a growth mindset in young female undergraduates looking to pursue careers in IT, by enabling them with the tools and attitude to succeed and aspire to leadership.
Fortude remains committed to expanding its global footprint, recently incorporating offices in Singapore and the Netherlands. This strengthens its existing operations in US, Canada, UK, Sri Lanka, India, and Australia. With nearly 600 employees spread across four continents and servicing clients globally, Fortude remains committed to working closely with universities and institutes in the Americas, Europe, Asia and ANZ, to develop talent globally and bring them into the rapidly expanding ERP sector.
