Jaffna – Chennai flight services will resume from today

The Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation has announced that the flight services between Jaffna and Chennai will be resumed from today after a gap of two years.

According to this, the flight carrying passengers from Chennai Airport to Jaffna International Airport will arrive at Jaffna International Airport at 10.50 am today.

Although the flights between Chennai and Jaffna started in 2019, the flights between the two countries were temporarily suspended due to the spread of the Corona virus.

It is reported that the flight owned by Alliance Air from Chennai Airport will arrive at Jaffna Balali Airport today (12) at 10:50 AM and will depart for Chennai about an hour later on Monday and Tuesday at 11:50 AM.

Meanwhile, it has also been announced that flights between the two countries will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Meanwhile, as the flight services have resumed at the Jaffna airport, the customs operations will be started at the airport, for which 14 customs employees left Colombo yesterday, Deputy Customs Officer D.A.M.R. Sagara said.
