Advantis 3PL Plus unveils central logistics hub in Thulhiriya

  • Adds 60,000 sq feet of warehousing space to the Group’s footprint
  • Hub to function as one of the main 3PL and warehousing facilities of Hayleys Advantis
  • Last mile pick-up and drop-off facility launched at the new centre

Enhancing its capabilities as a third-party logistics provider, Advantis 3PL Plus, a subsidiary of the
Hayleys Advantis Group, unveiled a state-of-the-art Central Logistics Hub in Thulhiriya, Kegalle.
Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC, Mohan Pandithage, ceremonially opened the premises
in the presence of Hayleys Advantis Managing Director, Ruwan Waidyaratne, members of the Group
Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis, BOI Executive Director – Investor Services, Mahinda
Ramanayake, BOI Executive Director – Zones, Lawrance Madapatha and representatives from the
Sri Lanka Police and the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat.  
“It is with great pride that we unveil the Thulhiriya Central Logistics Hub to the world of trade and
commerce. As the 3PL leader in Sri Lanka, this facility will allow us to boost our operating
efficiencies and service levels to all of our clients. Undoubtedly, this hub will be a nexus for
commercial trade and distribution in the future” said Ruwan Waidyaratne Managing Director of
Hayleys Advantis Limited.  
Strategically located near the Central Expressway, the 60,000-square-foot facility will act as one of
the main hubs for the Integrated Logistics Cluster operations of the Group, enhancing its end-to-end
logistics services from supply chain procurement to warehousing and delivery. Moreover, the last-
mile pick-up and drop-off service was officially launched at the location, displaying the subsidiary’s
efforts exerted towards strengthening the final phase of the delivery process to end customers. 
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, BOI Executive Director- Zones Lawrance Madapatha explained,
“Investments in logistics and warehousing have the potential to have a multiplier effect on numerous
industries, including the streamlining of imports and exports. Moreover, the facility managed by
Advantis 3PL Plus has created many job opportunities for youth in the area. As such, we welcome
the team to Thulhiriya.” 
 
“The new facility, while providing services to third parties, will act as an imperative component of
the end-to-end supply chain operations of the Group. Given its strategic location, we are now
poised to strengthen deliveries to our end customers which include both local and international
clientele. This will vastly improve the logistics management within the country and support the economy during these challenging times,” said, Sheran Abeysundere, Member of the Group
Management Committee of Hayleys Advantis Limited. 
Delivering the vote of thanks at the opening ceremony, Head of Advantis 3PL Sri Lanka, Dharshana
Wijemanne took the opportunity to thank the Advantis 3PL Plus team for their immense support in
constructing Thulhiriya as a key logistical hub. “Despite an ongoing economic crisis, our teams
worked towards establishing this facility with the latest technology while providing our loyal
customers with uninterrupted services. I want to take this opportunity to thank each of my
employees for their commitment to achieving our shared goals.”
