The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Italy conducted a Consular Mobile Service in Florence, Italy on 30 April 2023, to provide consular services to the Sri Lankan community residing in Tuscany Region, Emilia Romagna Region (cities of Bologna, Modena, Parma, Vignola) and Umbria Region (Perugia city).
During the Consular Mobile Service, Mission staff served around 250 Sri Lankans who applied for new passports, passport endorsements, emergency passports, birth registrations, citizenship certificates, dual citizenship applications, power of attorney, attestations, no objection letter (NullaOsta) for marriage, translations of Sri Lankan documents, etc.
The Deputy Chief of Mission headed the Mission staff. Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Florence Lapo Baroncelli, also attended the service. Sri Lanka Nidahas Sanvidanaya in Florence provided assistance to this Mission in organizing the Consular Mobile Service.
