99x, the renowned global product engineering company, kicked off its annual event, themed ‘Poised for the Extraordinary’ at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. The gathering served as a platform to unveil several innovative frameworks to create a dynamic change within the digital product engineering landscape, enhancing both customer and developer experiences.
The event saw key personalities such as Odd-Sverre Ostlie – CEO of the 99x Group, and Group CFO – Trygve Moe attending the occasion alongside Dag Honningsvag – Chairman of the Board, 99x Group, and Mano Sekaram – Founder and Chairman of 99x Technology Limited, Sri Lanka.
Hasith Yaggahavita, the newly appointed CEO of 99x, shared insights into the company’s vision for 2024, phrasing it ‘The Year of the Extraordinary’. He highlighted, “In an era of unparalleled transformation of user expectations, we recognise the necessity to adapt. Consequently, we are rolling out advanced deep-tech platforms and services designed to surpass the evolving needs of our clients. The 99x Day 2024 event served as an opportunity for our team, affectionately known as Xians, to envision the technological landscape of the future. The event demonstrated groundbreaking frameworks including Flowyzer, Product Central, 99x Labs, TeamOnCloud, and the 99x Operating System, all of which signal a significant leap towards innovation and excellence”.
During his address, Group CEO Odd-Sverre Ostlie outlined the strategic direction for the 99x Group stating, “Celebrating the achievement of 99x and the fellow companies within our group, we are embarking on an ambitious journey to further amplify our collective strengths, solidifying our position as a truly global entity. This will give more and better offerings to our customers, as well as even more opportunities for our employees”.
One of the highlights of the event was the launch of the book ‘Winning Product: A Handbook for Launching Successful Digital Products’. This publication builds upon the acclaimed Winning Product framework, which identifies product development best practices drawn by launching over 150 digital products over the past two decades at 99x.
